My Newest Projects
Think of a golden sunset over a grape vineyard!! I started with a metallic gold paint over the whole frame and added spots of metallic green paint. Then I painted dark purple colored paint grape cluster shapes. Then with dark green paint I added leaves and tendrils. The entire surface was then sealed with glossy decoupage. Then I added dark purple faux gemstones that look like grapes! Check it out on http://todayscreativeblog.net/get-your-craft-on-24/!!!!
Beautiful silver crosses on a blue/white frame painted to look like the sky surround part of a song from Handel's Messiah: "And the glory, the glory of the Lord shall be revealed." The quote is printed on blue/white paper to also look like the sky/heavens. When I used to be a soprano, I sang this song in HS Chorus, I loved it!!!

Breast Cancer Awareness Keychains:
I started with 'pre-holed' industrial brass tags and mixed white acrylic paint and Mod Podge Gloss. Made another set with Mod Podge Sparkle. Working all the way through one side at a time, I painted numerous coats, added stickers, and then coated 3 times with Dimensional Magic. Then I poked the holes and added a key ring on one end and some bling (always need bling). This project took me a LONG time with a bunch of learning from mistakes--next year I will start in August!!!

This Week
I know, I have not been posting! I finished the tiny hands frame, packed and ready to go. I started working on a mirror with peacock colors--My husband said he wasn't feeling it. So I am up at 3:30 am to drive to a meeting on Tuesday and I look at the frame and I think "Sunset Over Wine Country" I am still working on it so I don't want to show a picture yet.
Next month is Breast Cancer Awareness so I am making some keychains to sell at work-1/2 of the proceeds will go to BCA. I tried using plain white acrylic paint and it looked to dry. I removed the paint and mixed the paint with glossy Mod Podge, looks much better. I will take pics in stages.

HI ALL!
I am working on a custom frame, and so of course I want to put it together it in stages to make sure that the person buying it is happy. It is for the Aunt of a first new baby for the couple, due in January, and the sex will be a surprise. Tiny primary colored hands embellish a white frame. Here is where I am, the hands have not been glued yet, waiting for confirmation from the buyer. I painted the wood frame 50,000 times; and then decoupaged (glossy) about a million times, both sides--drying between coats is what takes the longest. Excuse the tin foil, it is what I work on so I don't ruin my kitchen counter and I didn't want to move it before finished :). What do you think?!!!:
